Why Sleep Is Vital For A Beautiful & Healthy Skin

Did you know about the term “Beauty Sleep”? If no, then this article absolutely is for you.

During a regular day, our body produces a hormone called “ Cortisol “, and basically those are stress hormones, not really good for our body and skin both. What actually happens when we sleep is that the cortisol and anxiety that we have been carrying throughout the day get released out of our body. Lack of sleep may cause the stress hormone to dominate our body, and it can also encourage inflammation in our skin, causing acne, psoriasis and even eczema.

Whereas a good night sleep can be very beneficial, it is heavily important for an adult human being to have a good night sleep for around

7-9 hours. This is because less sleep can also play a role in developing wrinkles, sagging skin, dark circles under the eyes, & so much more. The actual reason behind this is when you sleep, your body delivers a fluid to organs and tissues that need replenishing, and it also removes excess fluids from other areas. Skipping this process without sleeping an adequate amount is one of the biggest reasons that the people who are sleep deprived have dark circles under their eyes and have eye bags ( which are actually pockets of fluids supposed to move out ).

Not sleeping enough can also cause stress, destabilisation of the immune system, aggravating skin problems, acne psoriasis and eczema.

It is also important for us to follow a night schedule to make sure that we wake up with a healthy and glowing skin after our body’s natural process.

Always Wash Before Bed-

You should always, always wash up before bed, the reason behind is that after a tiring day, there is a possibility that there may be endless bacterias and impurities that are sitting on our face. We can’t take those impurities to bed with us so that they make a home on our skin.
